ECD/OVC

What does ECD/OVC mean??

Early Childhood Development / Orphans and Vulnerable Children

What we do

To train parents/guardians and caregivers to provide holistic development of the child aged 0-8—physically, nutritionally, emotionally, psychologically, cognitively, and spiritually.

WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE IN MALAWI?

Building CBCCs (preschools) where children can receive basic education, kids around the world Bible Stories, imaginative play and each child receives a meal.

“Kangaroo” (for premature babies) and Malnutrition Wards at Zomba Central Hospital

One of our SAFE volunteers initiated regular visits to the Kangaroo and Malnutrition Wards at Zomba Central Hospital, from the beginning of 2010. From time to time, previously, the Zomba Urban Gogos had visited the Hospital to cheer the sick on holidays, as they did on 14 May (Kamuzu Day). The plan is now to continue visiting the two wards regularly, and, if permission is granted, to start giving Bible lessons using Kids Around the World in the Malnutrition Ward.

How you can pray for the “Kangaroo” and Malnutrition Wards

Pray for the health of these preemie babies and malnourished children. Pray for the funds to keep these little ones in good health.
